Description
La Mère, the first tableware line in ceramics by Marie Michielssen, is an affectionate ode to the (grand)maternal figure and to women in general. The collection feels slightly nostalgic, while being innovative in many ways thanks to its vertical structure. Each form is unique and hand-crafted. All pieces are finished with an off-white or warm dark brown, almost black, glaze. As a third contrasting colour, Marie opted for a powerful Venetian red. The designer also deliberately chose these colours to create a mix & match of white and dark brown or red and dark brown.
