Description
For his creations, Sicilian artist blacksmith and designer Antonino Sciortino always draws on his own memories or finds inspiration in the rich history of his native region. At the same time, Sciortino is always seeking a unique accent capable of intriguing the user. “For the Lello table lamps, I used a square cross-shaped foot for the base and a curved metal plate for the lampshade, two classic forms of extreme formal simplicity, giving them a contemporary look. Classic, universal colours such as white, black and red catch the eye without distracting from the form, the true protagonist of my creations.”
