Description
The Lira rug celebrates the beauty of repurposed materials and the charm of handmade pieces. Woven entirely in India from recycled cotton, it breathes new life into fabric offcuts carefully selected and sorted by colour. Each strip becomes a weft yarn woven on traditional looms, yielding a interplay of textures and tones that makes every piece singular.
Across this nearly monochrome ground runs a delicate canvas of multi-coloured cotton threads. Like tiny splashes of colour scattered across the weave, they lend rhythm and subtle whimsy to the rug's surface—a graceful balance between simple materials and lively details.
Made from 100% recycled cotton, Lira represents mindful craftsmanship that values resources and natural textures. A vibrant rug full of personality, it brings warmth, texture and a hint of colour to your home, true to the Caravane spirit.

Characteristics
Regular vacuuming: vacuum gently without a rotating beater bar to avoid damaging the fibres. Two to three times a week is recommended, particularly in high-traffic areas.
Avoid stains: clean spills immediately by blotting with a dry cloth. Do not rub to avoid setting the stain.
Deep cleaning: once a year, have your rug cleaned by a professional specialising in wool rugs.
Air and shake: shake your rug outdoors from time to time to remove deep-seated dust and dirt.
Avoid damp: wool is sensitive to damp, so never leave your rug wet for long periods.
