Use raw wood shoe trees after each wear to absorb moisture and maintain shape.
Clean with a leather cleansing lotion to remove dust, salt, and water marks.
Polishing before the first wear is essential to protect against rain; also apply a moisturising cream to nourish the leather and extend its lifespan.
Leave to dry for a few minutes then buff with a suitable horsehair brush.
Repeat every 4 to 5 wears, more frequently in wet weather.
Rotate shoes to make them last longer.

Sole care:
Leather soles: fit a rubber sole guard in case of intensive wear or grease regularly for increased flexibility and waterproofing.
Rubber soles: no specific maintenance required, they are naturally durable and waterproof.
