Description
La Mère, Marie Michielssen’s first ceramic tableware collection, is a loving ode to the (grand)mother figure and to women in general. The tableware appears slightly nostalgic, yet innovative in many ways thanks to its vertical structure. Each shape is unique and moulded by hand. All pieces are finished with an off-white or warm dark brown, almost black, glaze. As a third contrasting colour, Marie chose a bold Venetian red. The designer also deliberately selected these colours to create a mix & match of white and dark brown or red and dark brown.
