Care advice

To preserve, clean, and revive the shine of your wooden furniture, we recommend simply using a duster and caring for it regularly.

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and heat.
• Sudden temperature changes and excessively low humidity can cause warping and cracks.
• Never place a damp or hot container on unprotected furniture, as this could leave marks/stains that are difficult to remove.
• Use a dry cloth for daily cleaning.
• Placing the item near heat sources will affect the wood, and cracks may appear.
• Do not cover the wood with airtight materials.

Oil treatment: Always use an oil suitable for the furniture. Apply the oil with a soft sponge in a thin layer, along the grain, on both the top and the bottom of the piece of furniture. To protect the wood, it is recommended to treat your furniture with oil once a month for the first 6 months. Thereafter, 2 to 4 times a year.

Cleaning wood: use a wood cleaner on stubborn areas. Always remember to apply an oil treatment after cleaning.

Information

On an oak veneer table, colour differences between the tabletop and the extension leaves are normal because wood is naturally variable (each veneer is unique), wood does not absorb stain or varnish completely uniformly, and the tabletop ages and darkens with light exposure, unlike the extension leaves which are often stored away.
