Use unfinished wood shoe trees after each wear to absorb moisture and preserve the shape.
Clean with a leather cleansing milk to remove dust, salt, and water marks.
Polishing before the first wear is essential to protect against rain; also apply a moisturising cream to nourish the leather and extend its lifespan.
Leave to dry for a few minutes, then buff with a suitable horsehair brush.
Repeat every 4 to 5 wears, more often in wet weather.
Alternate your shoes to make them last longer.

Sole care:
Leather soles: fit a rubber topy sole for heavy use, or treat regularly with leather balm/grease for greater flexibility and water resistance.
Rubber soles: no specific care needed, they are already durable and waterproof.
