Stained glass, play of light and traditional savoir-faire.

Thierry welcomes you to his Parisian studio-boutique to introduce you to the fascinating world of stained glass. During this workshop, you will discover two iconic techniques — traditional leaded stained glass and the Tiffany method — before crafting your own glass creation.

After an introduction to the craft of the stained glass artist and safety instructions, you choose the technique you want to try. You then draw your design on cardboard, which will serve as a guide throughout the making process.

Then it is time to work with the glass: using templates, you cut the 9 pieces that will make up your creation, then prepare each of them for assembly.

Depending on the chosen technique, you then move on to the finishes. With the Tiffany method, you adjust the pieces using a glass grinder before assembling and soldering them. With the traditional technique, you set the glass using lead came, before carrying out the soldering and reverse soldering steps.

At the end of the workshop, you leave with your unique stained glass piece measuring approximately 11 x 13 cm, ready to catch the light and decorate your home.
